Flying out to Cuba I had no idea what to expect, to be honest we were staying on a resort but we did not let that differ us from having a (somewhat) authentic experience.
I will choose to exclude the time on the resort because I think that it is irrelevant to the style of photography I was aiming this trip to be. I was going for a style that brought out the idea that although these people have struggled though a lot, they are resilient and friendly to a fault. One of the things i noticed on this trip is how staggeringly attractive most of the people who live in Cuba are.
The highlight of this trip was definitely our trip through Havana and the surrounding area. The streets were cramped and full of colour, an overwhelming amount of people were J-walking and sitting around on the streets.
Overall, if you are looking to see a country that has not yet been completely americanised and willing to put up with the bad food then Cuba is the place for you. The beaches are beautiful, the people are warm and welcoming, and the cigars are fantastic.
